Today OpenTTD 0.6.2-RC1 has been released. As usual this is a bugfix release for the 0.6 series. It therefore contains lots of bugfixes.
OpenTTD's web services (this website, source repositories and the masterserver) and the forums will be down for around 3 hours, perhaps a bit more, on the evening on the 16th of July (this Wednesday), due to us moving datacentre. The downtime is scheduled to occur at about 18:00 UTC, although it may occur slightly before then, and may last longer than 3 hours. Due to DNS changes, you may have trouble accessing the site for up to 24 hours after that, if your ISP caches the DNS records for too long.
Today we have released 0.6.1 which contains lots of small bugfixes. It also fixes a bug that could lead to remotely triggered crashes of clients.
We therefore urge you to update to 0.6.1.
Today we release the second release candidate and we hope to get the next stable release out soon. But to do that we need help in testing our fixes.
You can find this release candidate, as usual, via the downloads page assuming that SourceForge had the time to distribute the files.
From tomorrow onward the nightlies targets macosx-intel, macosx-powerpc and all macosx dedicated builds will be removed from the compile farm.
One can replace each of these targets with the macosx target as this is a binary that works on both PowerPC and Intel (x86) processors. Furthermore a dedicated build is not needed anymore because this can also be done with the universal binary.
